Taking the desk

Laurenbove asked me for a larger version of some of my recent photographs. So, here are two large, desktop size photos. Copyright me, blah blah blah. Use them on your desktop. Don't sell them. (If you are interested in buying publication rights, please feel free to contact me, though!)

First off, the "white flowered tree picture": Big version of Sakura Dreaming. Modem users might want to click this and go grab a coffee and a sandwich.

The mystery pink tree was also requested, but the close-up is rather fuzzy. (Photoshop hides it nicely in the small version!) So, I offer an alternative picture:

This is one of my favorite pictures that I took in Kyoto.* To be honest, my favorite photography is night photography. The way things light up at night tend to make them larger than life, like Batman. The same man in his daytime suit is never quite the same. But at night, the whole image changes. For your desktop viewing, modem killing pleasure, I offer this in a larger version as well.

* The other is another night shot of an Fushimi Inari Shrine. I may post it later... Inari is a kitsune too!**

** "kitsune" means fox. "Inari" is the fox deity in the Shinto religion who watches over farmers and growing things. Specifically, Inari is the god of rice. No small role in Japan! According to Shinto beliefs, foxes act as messengers for the spirit, and sometimes for people too!

Strangely enough, I knew the Kitsune reference, part of why I took to you immediately. Okay, that and your charming personality. :) Love the pictures! Thanks!

Thanks! I can here the "It's a small world" theme playing. (Usually, I would consider that a big red flag, but actually, I just heard the Simpson's version, Duff Beer for you, the other day, so I think I'm safe for society.)

Trust me now and click that link.

Mmmm very nice, fox man. I've already placed it upon my desktop of honor. Isn't it cool to think that you could be over in Japan taking these amazing photos that I'd never otherwise see, and letting me have them for my viewing pleasure AND desktop wall paper.

Excellent. Thank you for sharing. Merci bien!

PS: Simpsons rock.

I am computerly impaired with my dial-up connection...(lots of reasons for this which I won't go into) so I can't see the large version but WOW again..how beautiful.
